Your first win

One concrete outcome in your first session—usually in 10 minutes or less.

Start here

Pick the situation that sounds like you. Each path ends with something you can point to in Toolblocks—not a tour, not a settings page.

Most BD and marketing leads at AEC firms start with the relationships path. You can do the others anytime.

Relationships path

Best for: BD leads, marketers, principals—anyone who wins work through referrals, events, and staying top of mind.

Time: About 10 minutes.

Add your first contacts. Choose one:

Set one follow-up. Open the person in Contacts, choose a follow-up reminder (one-time is fine), and add a short note—e.g. "Check in after conference" or "Ask about healthcare expansion."

Done when: You can open Contacts, see real people (not an empty table), and at least one row has a follow-up date.

Target list path

Best for: Marketers and BD staff building a list of firms to pursue—not just people you already know.

Time: About 10–15 minutes.

Open Prospects and search by market, location, size, or keywords. Use filters that match how your firm actually pursues work (region, sector, headcount).

Review a few results, then save at least one company to Contacts.

Optional: refine your target firm profile under Settings → Context so the next search starts closer to your sweet spot.

Done when: A company you would actually pursue appears in Contacts (you can add people at that firm later).

Research path

Best for: Seller-doers and project-side staff who need verified context on a site, municipality, or account before a call or pursuit decision.

Time: About 15 minutes (research runs can take a few minutes to finish).

Pick one research job:

When results appear, open the sources and citations. Click through at least one link to confirm it matches what you need.

If something is wrong, fix it inline—corrections save as overrides so the next run is more accurate for your firm.

Done when: You have a structured answer with source links you would feel comfortable citing in internal prep (not necessarily client-ready without your review).

AI and enrichment outputs are drafts for review. Read sources before you rely on them in client conversations.

After your first win

You do not need to complete every path on day one. Once one path above is done:

  1. Skim Win work for how contacts, prospects, events, and signals fit together.
  2. Learn the sidebar in Navigate the workspace.
  3. Press Cmd + K (Mac) or Ctrl + K (Windows) anytime to jump to a view quickly.
