Follow-up reminders
One-time and recurring follow-up schedules on contacts.
Overview
Follow-up reminders keep relationships from dying in inbox memory. Schedule a one-time nudge or a recurring cadence (30, 60, or 90 days) on a person record.
Schedule types
| Type | Use when |
|---|---|
| None | No automated reminder |
| One time | Single check-in after a meeting or intro |
| Recurring | Stay-top-of-mind cadence with anchor date |
Optional follow-up note stores context (“ask about airport project”, “send article on mass timber”).
Steps
Open a person in Contacts (follow-up attaches to people, not organizations).
Set Follow-up schedule to one-time or recurring and pick the date or cadence.
Add a short note so future-you knows why the reminder exists.
When the date arrives, complete the touch and log activity—or snooze/reschedule from the detail panel.
How this differs from accounts
| Contacts follow-up | Accounts next step |
|---|---|
| Person-level habit | Firm-level pursuit orchestration |
| Great for network maintenance | Great for strategic targets |
For firm-level planning, use Accounts.
