Overrides and corrections
Save human corrections on research outputs so trust compounds over time.
Overview
When research gets a fact wrong—or your firm knows better from experience—you can save an override inline. Overrides stay attached to the workflow output so the next reviewer sees both the original source-backed answer and your correction. They do not edit external websites; they preserve provenance inside Toolblocks.
When to use this
- A generated field contradicts a primary source you verified manually.
- Your firm has non-public context (relationship history, prior project roles) that research cannot find.
- You want juniors to see principal-approved corrections on repeat pursuits.
Steps
Open a completed research result in the task or research panel.
Locate the field that needs correction and choose Override or inline edit (label varies by surface).
Enter the corrected value and a short reason if prompted—enough for the next reader to trust the change.
Save. The override displays alongside citations; original sources remain visible for audit.
Re-run research later if the underlying facts may have changed—overrides are not a substitute for fresh sources on time-sensitive data.
Overrides reflect your firm’s reviewed judgment. They do not automatically retrain models; they keep your workspace accurate for the next person who opens the task.
